Why Glories on Venus?

On the planet Venus a rainbow is called a Glory.

Obviously there is no water on Venus, but the optical phenomenon called a ‘glory’ – like a rainbow – forms when sunlight falls on cloud droplets. The difference is, glories are caused by the interference of light waves within droplets, whereas rainbows are caused by the reflection, refraction and dispersion of light.

When I heard of this phenomenon it seemed like a perfect name for my rainbow art.
