The Puffin Watercolour Painting
A perfect decorative Puffin watercolour painting.
A stunning hand painted picture, uses a special feature of watercolour paints called bleeding. This is where the wet paints flow into each other, creating a beautiful flow to the piece.
Furthermore we have chosen the Puffin as it is one of the nations favourite birds. In particular, Puffins are a feature of the Yorkshire coastline, close to the Glories on Venus studio.
The effect of blended rainbow colours makes this picture the perfect addition to your home. The watercolour paints naturally flow into each other to create a beautiful, individual picture and the paintings that Glories on Venus make are just for you!
I paint on 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper and use only professional watercolour paints. This Puffin painting is totally unique to you.
Watercolour is a water-based paint, therefore, colours can be manipulated. I bleed the colours into one another, through a technique called ‘blooming’. This technique’s success depends on how much water is added – when I add a good amount of water to the paint, brilliant things begin to happen!
When the paint is still wet, I then add another colour, with amazing effects. Uniquely, the art that Glories on Venus produces, can never be replicated. You’ll notice subtle transitions throughout the strokes in the painting. The blooming technique means that every piece is unique.
In addition, when you buy one of my paintings, you’ll be supporting great causes. This is because 5% of my profits go to specially selected charities.
You will receive an unframed A4 picture. It is sent in a hard backed protective envelope and sleeve.
A4 measures 210 × 297 mm or 8.27 × 11.69 inches
